I hope that each of you have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. I hope that we might all add poems showing the Christmas Spirit, and what it means to us.

Imagine A Christmas

Imagine a Christmas with no bow or bell
With no family near, “Merry Christmas,” to tell
And what if all favored things were suddenly gone
Not even your own hall to deck holly on

Imagine a Christmas with no buzzing of toys
With an absence of laughter of glad girls and boys
And what if there was no place for you to hang your hat
And home was where ever in exhaustion you sat

Imagine a Christmas all alone in the night
No warm house to ward off winter’s cold bite
And what if those fellows who merrily clap your back
When you came near sent their dogs to attack

Imagine a Christmas with only rags to wear
And only some straw to warm the cold air
And what if God himself suddenly became quite poor?
Would you follow and honor him anymore?

Did Jesus himself not say, “Truly I say unto thee,
What you do unto the least of my brethren, you do unto me?”

Christmas cheer is not a beer or any other drink.

Tis more in line with faith and love and generosity.
So open your hearts, your eyes and never blink
To the sights and sounds of kids curiosity
and take Joy in the Season.
*sings*
Ohhhh Holy Night....

THE MOURNIN O' CHRISTMAS

Twas the mournin o' Christmas,
I awoke with a bound,
From a terrible nightmare
O' no CHOCOLATE to be found.

The stockings were hung
on the wall with great care,
In hopes that some CHOCOLATE
would soon be found there.

Me hubby was NESTLE-d
all snug in our bed,
While visions of CHOCOLATE
popped in me head.

I in me nightgown
looking much like a sack,
Had to have CHOCOLATE
for that was a fact!

But what to me wandering
eyes did appear?
A rowing machine by me tree
That sent instant fear.

I realized at once
that me visions were true,
A Buns of Steel tape
was me very next clue.

I blinked back the tears
an me teeth started to chatter,
I rummaged through cupboards
The dishes did clatter.

Oh where did I hide it,
me precious, dear stash,
I needed a CHOCOLATE
an I needed it fast!

I wondered about HER-SHE
a woman's best friend,
Or a DOVE promise
that someone might send?

The only thing miniature
and it sure wasn't me,
Was the HERSHEY miniatures,
Oh where could they be?

Oh Santa, dear Santa,
CHOCOLATE sleigh bells they ring!
Just one ALMOND JOY to the world,
An I surely would sing!

Then out o' the bed
Me hubby did stumble,
He grinned at me
as I really did grumble.

Oh where is me CHOCOLATE?
Just a NUGGET or two?
I'm desperate for it
an I HATE EXERCISE too!

Do ye expcct me to DIET?
I will surely die'too!
An EXERCISE?
Fer they be swear words, true!

Me hubby did chuckle
an knew jes what to do,
Pulling package from behind him
an grinning wide, too!

Wash yer mouth out w' CHOCOLATE,
HERSHEY'S HUGS N' KISSES!
You see dear ole Santa
really did not miss us!

I lunged at the CHOCOLATE
stuffing into me mouth,
So full I could only say,
Ith there more in the houth?

Then I settled right down
sudden comfort indeed,
For a bit o' CHOCOLATE
was all I did need!

Me hubby was rowing,
it had been for him,
Desperation for chocolate,
My only sin!

Now when DIET an EXERCISE
you this Christmas do hear,
Wash yer mouth out with CHOCOLATE,
an welcome the New Year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS an CHOCOLATE HO HO'S to you...

~Annie Moanus W'out Chocolate~

The true meaning of the Candy Cane

Look at the Candy Cane
What do you see?
Stripes that are red
Like the blood shed for me
White is for my Savior
Who's sinless and pure!
"J" is for Jesus
My Lord, that's for sure!
Turn it around
And a staff you will see
Jesus my shepherd
Was born for Me!

Many years ago, a candy maker wanted to make a candy at Christmas time that would
serve as a witness to his Christian faith. He wanted to incorporate several symbols for
the birth, ministry and death of Jesus. He began with a stick of pure white hard candy;
white to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus; hard to symbolize
the solid rock, the foundation of the Church; firmness to represent the promise of God.
The candymaker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the name of Jesus,
who came to earth as our Savior. He thought it could also represent the staff of the
Good Shepherd, with which he reached down into the ditches of the world to lift out the
fallen lambs who, like all sheep, have gone astray. Thinking that the candy was
somewhat plain, the candymaker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes
to show the stripes of the scourging Jesus received, by which we are healed. The large
red stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross so that we could have the
promise of eternal life. Unfortunately, the candy became known as a candy cane - a
meaningless decoration seen at Christmas time. But the true meaning is still there for
those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Merry Christmas to all

All You Need Is Elves

Elves, elves, elves.
Elves, elves, elves.
Elves, elves, elves.

Santa doesn't shop at Toys "R" Us.
Doesn't have to fight the Christmas rush.
He's never out of stock
Of even the hardest toys and games.
It's easy.

Nothing in his sack he really made.
No one gets forgotten Christmas day.
So if you wanna know
How he gets it done in the knick of time,ÿ
It's easy.

All ya need is elves. (That's us.)
All ya need is elves. (The little people.)
All ya need is elves, Love.
Elves are all ya need.

Toys "R" Elves. (All toys are made by elves.)
Elves, elves, elves. (There's nothin' we can't make.)
Elves, elves, elves. (Do you have any idea how hard
it
is to make a 64-bit video system out of wood?)
(Ho, ho, let me tell you, it ain't easy.)
(No kiddin'!)
(Tell me about it!)

All ya need is elves.
All ya need is elves. (We're non-union labor.)
All ya need is elves, Love.
Elves are all ya need.ÿ

There's nothing you can know;
Not much is known.
'Cause no one's ever caught one in his home.
They're never really seen
But that doesn't mean that they're make-believe.
They're teensy. (Hey! Watch where you're steppin',
you big freak!)

All ya need is elves.
All ya need is elves. (We're too short for Space
Mountain.)
All ya need is elves, Love.
Elves are all ya need.ÿ

Elves are all ya need. (repeated several times)

He loves you, ho, ho, ho.
He loves you, ho....
