This is one of my favourite times of celebration...Whilst the Winter was a mild one here this year, it was nonetheless cold and dark..and my heart is over-joyed to be once again in the arms of misty sunshine..and the songbirds outside my window each morn have been singing the sweetest songs..this morning there were a dozen stellar's jays searching for grub in the newly unveiled ground all muddy from the melting snows..Robins, Jays, Chickadees, Bluebirds, and of course the ever-faithful fisherbirds who have made their homes at my beach, the Bald Eagles and Osprey...
I am so thankful it is Spring (almost) at last..
soon I will be surrounded by wonderous pink orchard blossoms..and green fields...*wanders off muttering about how much she loves living in the country-side~

Here in Chicago, we celebrate the spring equinox by rejoicing over the final melting of the city's infamous Black Snow. Other surefire signs of Spring include the inevitable appearance of our state flower, the orange road construction cone, our state bird, the mosquito, and my own personal nemesis, the open-windowed youthmobile and its accompanying joyous vernal sounds of pounding subwoofer.
*wanders off muttering about how much he enjoys living in the city environs...LLL*
(Ok, ok, it isn't all bad...at least I can finally go fishing again!)

*L* Here in NM, we celebrate by battening-down the hatches, as spring means wind, wind, and oh yeah...MORE WIND! We have 4 seasons: fall, winter, wind, and summer. Best part is the pollen blowing all over! *does a jig* Talk about allergy season!

*wanders off muttering to herself about buying stock in Kleenex*

The beautiful Perth autumn has arrived! Cool nights (about 10-12C) and very pretty days (25-30C). Perfect time of year.
