I think that the overwhelming response to your conversations on Dreams has shown what a vast interest there is in the subject. Even those who think their dreams are nothing more than clutter in their neurons, still find themselves drawn into the subject.

BTW Monadh, congratulations on your promotion to coordinator of the Dream Building.

Have to agree with Daryl on that...even a quasi-materialist like myself has to marvel at what these neurons can accomplish ;) By the way, didn't mean to be disrespectful of anyone's religious beliefs, was just trying to inject a healthy dose of scientific skepticism. It really is a fascinating subject, no matter how one approaches it...

I tend to agree with Michael Dames (Author of Mythical Ireland) when he says that Science and Technology is simply the latest entry in the Irish Myth Cycle. We do not intend on being disrespectful to anyone's religious beliefs, not even those who practice Science. Have a mug full of Stoli on me, Celt.

Science is afterall the old and learned sister of religon Celt, it is always healthy to have a good dose of it now and then..*s*
In my little mind I am constantly breaking down the physical concepts of my environment into terms of quantum physics..trying to decipher the relationships between matter, time, space etc. (okay don't laugh folks I know I sound like a rediculous wannabe scientist but it has always been something that has obsessed me *L*,) But seriously..science is a part of the spectrum of things..what a colourful rainbow of reflections the human mind unveils through thought and ponderance...it would surely be a dull world if no one stopped to ask relevant questions.
Wow another whole page to fill with your dreams friends, thanks Daryl...the loading was getting super slow with my poor connection..

A house stands on a hill, and I stand in a nearby field. I am turning soil by hand, certain that there is a plow somewhere nearby, but unable to look for it because I must get this soil turned. I look at the house on the hill, I will never get finished and get up there at this rate, but then again, the house seems forboding, so why would I want to go there anyway?

I look at the soil, and it is filled with diamonds. I curse the diamonds for contaminating the soil, and hope that no theives find out. I do not care if they take the diamonds, only that they will uproot the plants in the process. I begin to pluck the diamonds out of the soil and set them in a large basket by the road. I hang a sign on the basket that says "Free, Take some"

I look back at the house again, it does not look so forboding now, color has returned to it again. My field is turned quite well thanks to my diamond plucking. Tea is sitting out on a white table and a comfortable chair awaits me. I head to the house, exhausted, but happy.

I'm always amazed at those who can remember their dreams in vivid detail...mine always are in bits and pieces. (and not always the good bits, either!*L*)

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message  By Daryl on Thursday, June 14, 2001 - 05:16 pm:

Many of mine are the same. I always try to write them down in a dream journal, but there are times that as soon as I wake up, I cannot remember any more than fragments.

I have heard some dream experts claim that we do not dream in color. I really feel sorry for them, if they do not dream in color. I always dream in color, with minor exceptions as in the case of the house in the dream above at the start of the dream.

The significance of that dream to me is mind boggling. I have been thinking about it for days, and I still keep coming up with more meaning. The seeds (of knowledge or spirit or ideas, etc) I was sowing was more valuable than diamonds or possibly, the material rewards were nothing compared to the spiritual task at hand, or freely give to others that which is freely given to you, or... well you get the picture.

Very intriguing dream Daryl. Turning soil without a plow is very tough and daunting work. (all I ever find is granite rocks though *L*)As I said..quite interesting, and it is indeed full of a lot of meanings which you fully know.
Many times my dreams end up in pieces in my mind which I try to sort out after, other times they seem crystal clear as though walking in another world and coming back with some sense of it still,and they stay with me longer than some of the more off-beat ones which I tend to have. Last night I had a remarkable dream for instance, and I can remember it very distinctly...down to minute details.
Here I am , tired and sleepy and trying to get to sleep...though full of dream stories..I shall save them for you all a'morrow , as I am starting to sputter 'ZzZzZzZ~*~

Had a weird one two nights in a row. I am picked to visit Shiva by a Pakastani sp? man who is Hindu. He comes into a house I am in (Not my house) and announces that he is going to meet Shiva and wants too know if anyone wants to come. Everyone says they want to go, I have just stepped out of the shower and I am wearing only a towel. He looks at me, and says that Shiva wants the one who most wants to go, and since I was willing to come out in a towel, I must be that person.

I know that if I ask to get dressed first, I will lose my chance, so I put on the only piece of clothing in my hand, and follow the man out to his dirty van that is white in color. At first I think the man is Indian, but he seems to know I am thinking that, and corrects me without me even verbalising my thoughts. We ride down the road, and I ask the man if I should dress more appropriately to meet a god.

He laughs and replies, "The only way you could be more appropriate, is if you were not dressed at all. You know we all stand naked before the Gods and Goddesses."

We travel for several days, getting to know each other, and becoming friends.

When we arrive at the Temple, it is also a stark White temple, but has dirt all over it. I remember that Shiva is a God of Opposites, and decide that this is probably the way he likes his Temple. We walk upto the Temple, and I ask the man if I should knock before I go in, or just go in. He says I can do whichever, because there is nobody insde anyway. Confused, I ask him why we travelled all of this way if Nobody is in the Temple.

He laughs and says "So Shiva could get to know you, of course."

He is silhouetted in the fading sun, and his beard has disappeared. It seems as if I can make out several extra arms in the Sun light. Two of his arms hold his belly as he stands there laughing at my confusion. As I begin to wake from the dream, I realise that this is Shiva, and though I try desperately to remain there, to ask him questions, the dream fades and reality imposes itself, in the form of an alarm clock.

I wonder as I wake up, "Shiva, a Pakastani?"

He replies, "Why not, I can be any one, so can you. Next time I might be American."

I wake hearing my alarm clock mixed with Shiva's laughter.

i had a weird nightmare 3 nights ago. "i'm at camp when an old family enimy inters the room. Lord Magnus knowing the hate between me and the people that just walked in, told Sir Danny to take me back stage. two other tirones (that's what Magnus calls us campers) come with us. Magnus and Vivian (one of the people that walked in) started to have a fight. knowing the hatered between us had to end i go out and challenge Vivian and her family to a sword duel. i fight her son Ricky and one of my friends Lord Ulfkell fights Saspatina (Vivian's daughter). Ulf and i win the fights." why would i have this dream, i've had it 3 times now.

Does the dream allow you to see the fights, or does it just skip that part and go on. If the fights are not skipped, do you win by the defeated dying or surrendering? Finally, do you really have feelings toward these people as you do in the dream?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message  By Gypsywench on Wednesday, July 4, 2001 - 12:09 am:

i see through my eyes in the fights. we win by delivering 5 kill blows (that's how a winner is determed at the camp) to our opponent. the feeling i have towards Vivian and her family is a houndred times worse. the last time i saw her i wanted to kill her. i left a part out after the sword fights Vivian and i have a dancing duel. in such a duel a cd is played and the dancers have to dance untill they collaps. i win this after the cd is played 4 times. the cd has a song call Habibi, it's an aribic love song. i also forgot to say that i had a crush on Ricky but he broke my heart.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message  By Daryl on Thursday, July 5, 2001 - 05:50 pm:

Interesting elements of the dream, are the fact that you fought because the hatred had to end, and you and Vivian Dueled to a love song. The fact that you had a crush on Ricky only to have him crush your heart, is also told in the fact that you fought him.

It seems to me, that perhaps by ending the hatred in your heart towards those people, you can win. Hatred is not the opposite of Love, but rather part of it. They both have the same opposite, which is Apathy. Sometimes the bonds of Hate can be stronger than the bonds of Love.

I do not know what the mundane world problems are between you and them, but meditate on these problems, search your own spirit for the causes of the problems and resolve them with yourself. (This does not need to involve anyone but you.) Once you have banished your hatred of them, then you will have won the battle against them.

Hatred poisons the spirit that harbors it, and will eventually poison every part of your being. It is not against them that you are currently struggling, but rather against your own hatred.

My Grandfather used to say that nothing in this world happens to you except those things that you allow to happen to you. Many things happen in this world both good and bad. Many of these things involve you, and effect you. This can not be controlled in all cases. But things do not happen to you until you decide that they do. If someone Punches you in the nose that effects you and involves you. You then have a choice, either accept that they are a jerk, and move on (Very hard to do, I know), or you allow feelings of anger to overwhelm you, and thus allow the other person's actions to happen to you. This leads to other choices in which retribution play a key role. The person might need to be put back in their place, but if you are doing it because they did something to you, then you are at a disadvantage from the start.

If you take the more difficult path, and still decide that they need to be put back in their place, it is likely you will be doing it to help them from making the mistake again, or to help others from having this kind of thing happen.

Dance the dance of Love, and you will win. Drink from the Chalice of dread and hatred, and you will fail. Nothing can happen to you unless you let it. Otherwise it is just something that happened, that might have involved you.

A bit long winded I know, but I hope it was worth it.

Okay so those were some of the less significant dreams I have had lately..but sure were fun *s*

Two fortnights at sea
Two more to go
I dream of my princess
Where I want to be
Sailing hauled close
For in hot pursuit
The Witch of my nightmares
Black Rose Bitterroot
We're carrying more sail
Than this brig's meant to carry
Driving to my princess
Sweet girl that I'll marry.
We're all out of shot
The powder is gone
Now we're sailing into
A fierce summer storm
Hoping to lose
The one I hate so
And sail on to
The one I love More
Than anyone or anything
In this world or the next.
When I get there
She'll hold me
Love me safe and content
With my ship in her harbor
This place, heaven sent.
But the chase is still on
The witch, she gets nearer
With her aggravation
The storm's my last chance
Last chance of salvation
Lost in it's waves,
Dark clouds all a'swirling
Wishing the Black Rose
To lose all her rigging
Or sink to the bottom
Sheets, timbers and everthing
Leaving me free, on my way
With none there to stop me
From reaching safe harbor
Safe from all evil
And Roisin's evil spree.
The spray's in my face
As the mate steers the ship
My eyes closed tight
As my thoughts drift away from
This terror filled night
To the land far across
The raging black sea
White cottage on the cliff
Where she waits for me
Drifting cross meadows
On warm summer days
My hand in her hand
On the grass,
By the sea
Her beautiful face,
And bonnie green eyes
This pirate sorely misses
Her sweet warm breath
On my cheek as she kisses
The troubles away
Far away, far away
Warm, sunny day
Floating through dreams
Pleasant and safe
I've forgotten the thorny
Black witch on the waves
The red sky is dawning
The clouds clear away
No sign of Roisin
Or her ship in our way
The wind is behind us
The sea smoothing out
Down hill run to the hidden
Safe harbor, smooth bay
Soon we'll be close
In each other's arms
Holding on tight
Free from all harm
For a short time together
Knowing someday
We'll be side by side
Safe, forever and ever...

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message  By Monadh on Wednesday, July 25, 2001 - 03:49 pm:

I dreamed i was travelling down a cold and narrow winding river, across a waterfall which lies at the edge of a city, and down into this canyon with dark and rugged terrain, the mountainous cliffs standing ominously tall and steep. I know where I am, and where I am going because i am always on this journey, once or twice a year like clockwork i find myself on this trek. But i am never certain enough to feel secure in my going.
My destination is a small place at the end of the river, it takes hours to get there. When we stop, and i say we because i know I am being accompanied though i can never quite remember who is with me (perhaps other aspects of myself which i can acknowledge but not completely recognize. We stop now because we can't go any further by way of the water, we have to travel a small distance before we reach our destination. We get out of the boat at this place which i like to call the boathouse. It is a strange but somehow welcoming building. I stop at the door before entering and read some posters plastered on the outside wall, which seem to be showcasing pictures and names of other upcoming visitors. When I enter, i notice that everything seems to shift as i move about ,.. the door i enter through becomes a window as i turn to look back, the floor becomes the ceiling, walls become mirrors. There is a man sitting by a set of stairs holding a deck of cards, but when i look again he transforms into a part of the house, becoming the staircase railing.(?!) Nothing is quite what it seems it should be, but i am getting used to it( having been here before at least a half a dozen times now). When my visit is realized by the keeper of the house he instantly invites me to sit and have chai with him in the kitchen which is at the top of the stairs. He presents me with a choice of several books from which i am supposed to read . The books appear ancient and full of wisdom, though old they seem new to me everytime i gaze upon them. I pick my book, he lends it to me, with the full understanding that it shall be exchanged for another one the next time i come to visit. Now it is time for me to continue my journey, I set out walking for the next few miles till i reach the town. When i get there i hear the hushing sounds of people closing their doors and pulling their curtains closed. I can see the expression on people's faces as i pass them and they don't seem too pleased i am back again. I think they think i am prying into their world, and it is as though they are somehow afraid of and angry at me for that reason. One man's expression clearly states that he wants me to leave, and i think i know why, but i am having a hard time understanding what is at the core of the hostility. I know this is not a place for innocence. This place is desolate and small, yet contains within itself something great and mysteriously fearful. I walk to the edge of the little town and find myself clenching the wire of a fenced wall. I am deeply puzzled as to why there is a fence here, especially when i look beyond the fence and see that there is a highway leading alongside which seems well enough travelled. Why on earth don't they tear down these walls which surround? A person comes along who seems to be having similiar thoughts as me, though perhaps knowing more than I do, as he/she suddenly strips off their disguise and hops over the fence in the blink of an eye. I yell to the person, where are you going? where does that road lead to?, and why is the way blocked? but they seem not to hear, or not to care much for my questions, and disappear off into the wandering distance. I don't think they will be returning. I realize i am becoming more and more unaware of my surroundings, becoming disoriented, as though being pulled into some vaccuum of unmistakable chaos. I begin to feel tired of this place and it's odd ways, and would sooner leave than stay and face the consequences. I can feel the eyes and hear the whispers of the townsfolk as i make my way back through the town. I feel certain that i shall return here again and get to the root of the matter, but i know that it is not the time now, as it is getting darker and the canyon walls are gaining deeper shadows.
Leaving the town now i find myslef once again at the boathouse but not for long, as i swiftly embark on my departure across the waters. I notice there are more people onboard this time, their faces somewhat blurry and fleeting. I feel cold, the wind is driving through the sky, the waves are lapping the side of our vessel as we slowly make our way. I worry if we will make it safely back as i become aware of how unsteardy this ship actually is, and that at any moment she is liable to sink. But in the end I arrive back safely, back over the waterfall in reverse as though a tape in rewind.
~~~~~~
I dreamed that a while back..and left quite a bit out when writing it down just now, but it is hard to remember all the details and put them all into words.(should have written it down sooner)
btw daryl loved your shiva dream
sweet z's 2 all~
I think your dream is so rich in symbols, that it need be studied in minute detail. From an initial impression, it seems to be about dealing with aspects of yourself that you find rather unpleasant and do not really wish to disturb, even though you know that they must be dealt with.
Some of these things are so ancient, that you have forgotten the root of them, and would need to be reminded of them before you could deal with them. You need not try to deal with them all at once, for they will all be waiting for you to deal with them, whenever you are ready to do so.
You can see that if you could only get through these problems, both the ancient ones and those still alive and walking around through your mind, you would not need to make this trip again, and your way out would no longer be blocked.
You might call the town, Éadóchas. That would be a fitting name. You can leave and go back to where you normally reside, but until you face the residents and the ancient shadows therein, you will always have to come back here.
They do not want you back, as you might be coming to dispatch them for good, you are leary of the place because you are afraid that you cannot dispatch them.
If you should revisit Éadóchas, greet the townsfolk and ask them why they are there. Instead of looking for a way to circumvent the town, search for the ancient shadows, and shed light upon them.
I think that if you can do that, you will find that the townsfolk will assist you in tearing down the fenced wall so you can move on, and not have to ever return.
The witch is almost upon me
There's no escape from her ship
And my love's face floats right before me
I can almost kiss her sweet lips
One day from safe harbor
And captured I am
Our rendezvous suddenly gone
But I'm plotting my escape
From the witch and the wolf
To be with my love again soon
Imprisoned am I in a dungeon
Water and rats at my heels
My brave crew will come for to rescue me
And see me safe back to my love
But for now I must suffer
And miserable be
For only my princess
Can fill up the hole
That throbs so deep in my heart
And keep all my troubles
My troubles at bay
And complete my sore aching heart
The Night Mares were running wild in my dreams last morning
Sometimes it is hard to shake them off...
In one I found I was walking towards a house surrounded by softly waving trees..it was stone and rather square, with a simple boxwood hedge twisted in knots and a single fountain in the centre (was a nice garden!) All in all my dream was pretty pleasant so far, nice walk, nice looking house, nice garden to walk through...but something felt wrong....I think now i was approaching towards the back door of the house, when I spyed (with my little eye haha) a fuzzy bit to the left side of the door(which was rather tall..the door i mean, and i meant to enter it but...), ..i looked closer as the fuzzy(fuzzy as in hard to see, not as in peachy fuzzy) bit became more of a hole , like a tear in space, with light eminating from within this hole, (it seemed almost electric in it's frequency). I was so afraid of what this thing was..this apparition..(i know you're thinking it's just a hole..i know it sounds weird, but I was absolutely terrified..then again who wouldn't be if they saw a hole suddenly appear in the midst of air) but from this thing there seemed to be amassing some great and powerful force, which seemed ever closer to manifesting (into who-in-the-heck knows what) as i watched...
to make a long story short..this scary spot of light turned into a grey unicorn..(yes a grey unicorn! but before ya think 'awww a unicorn! how cute!' think again ..)this fella was by no means friendly..he/she(must be p'lit'cly correct ya know)was a freakin freaky horsey! i started to run from it, because i knew that if it got me i would be sucked into it (being that it was a hole in the form of a unicorn) I knew it wanted to steal my lifeforce into it's own..
and well... to make a long story short (oops i already promised that haha)..i woke up in a fright cause i was swallowed alive..or rather my life energy was..by this strange thing..
well that dream left me with the weirdest feelin when i woke up, kinda like when ya see a scary movie and then find yourself wigged out for bit till ya find your self feelin normal again..(on second i don't know what feelin normal feels like, or if in fact there is such a thing as normal(blah blah blah etc.)
well if ya've read this far and ya already think i'm nuts , you're right *s* (roasted and lightly salted)
your dream seemed rather frightening too gypsy, (hey both of ours involved energy vampirism..freaky! must be the flavour of the month).. i hope yours doesn't manifest as reality (waking reality i mean..dreams are a reality set apart yet integral to this world of our living)
btw daryl, i haven't had a chance to look up the word you mentioned in your excellent reading of my dream of the town..Eadochas..curious about the translation..(i've got hardly any gaelic still..)but if the translation is what the place sounded like then sounds about right.
cheerio for now folks
First the translation: Despair.
I am on vacation currently, so I have not been at a computer very much, but on July 31, I had a dream that a man was running around a house that I used to live in killing people with hatchets. Everyone else had been killed but me, and I hid in a storage room. The man first tried to chop through the door, but then when he couldn't he went outside and tossed one of his hatchets through the window.
Just then a woman in a glowing white robe with white hair and a beautiful face, opened the door and told me I did not have to take this from the man, because it was all a dream, and I was in control if I wanted to be. I stood up and walked through the door, and into a field of Chamomile Flowers and all of the people were still alive and we were having a picnic. The man who was stealing people's lives was gone.
It seems so related to the previous two dreams, that I could not help but mention it. It would seem that something is afoot. If I can decifer it, I will let you know.
I have had several dreams of late, which all have the same general message to them:
The re-awakening of Draíocht na Muintir is at hand. The realm of dreams is only veiled thinnly by the realm of reality, and we are quickly approaching a time when the veil can be removed. Toward this end, the seats of power must be restored and the offices of draíocht must be re-filled. If this is done in time, then the rest will follow.
I have always held this belief that there was once a time of magic, when people's hearts and minds were open to a higher science. Some people have maintained a greater degree of understanding through-out the course of the ages.. of what that connection was/is; indeed you could say that they still feel that connection. The old torch bearers of hermetic science shall reunite with the modern physicists, forming an alliance of the mind which harkens back to an understanding we all held for years innumerable, in an age as distant as the next room. For many it is a sleeping dragon,who hides in the mists of the soul waiting to be fed by the fires. I believe that there will come again a time when people re-awaken that fire within. I believe there will once again arise a moment when human minds are not so entirely bound by the concepts of space and time, matter, form etc. I think we will transcend these qualities which shape the existence of our nature, go beyond, and back , to the magic which is so much a part of our being. But enough of my two cents, nothing I say seems to make sense to me when I read back on it anyway (the old I don't think I am fully expressing myself thing)..
I enjoyed reading your last two posts Daryl, your contribution to this dream journal is immeasurable.
I just want to thank everyone who has ever added their own dreams to this collection over the past long while, and by all means...if you are reading this then it must show that you have some interest in the subject. By all means, if you have a dream to share, feel free. (just thought to reiterate)
I have been having a load of crazy dreams as usual.
I had a rather disturbing dream the other night, followed by an amazing coincidence. I dreamt that I was standing on a street, and people were running wild. At the center of the activity, there was a man laying dead on the ground. He was wearing black robes, with purple trim. I asked a young boy who the man was (I could not see his face) The young boy replied, "Don't you recognise the one who wears the robes of Authority?" The lad then wandered off, leaving me beside the dead man.
The next evening, I was taking a drive, and I looked up at the sky, and I saw a cloud that looked like the dead man in the robes lying on the ground. I was stunned so much, that I almost ran into the on-coming traffic lane.
Escape from the witch
I had to,I must
Running headlong toward the sea
No time to supply
My ship with provisions
So off to privateer am I
Another long voyage
To outfit my ship
And to be with my princess at last
I dream of the last time
I saw her fair face
Her bonnie green eyes
They delight me
As I held her
And she holding oh me so tightly
We loved with abandon once more
When I get to the harbor
Where she waits for me
I won't let her go for a long time.
I'll love her and keep her
So close to my heart
We'll lay once again in green clover
And whenever I sail off
To far away places,
She'll be on the bridge, at my side
And I'll guide my fair ship
By the light of the stars
And the light from her bonnie green eyes
Spectacular addition to your Epic, Buc.
Hey Acc, when The Honorable Man of Fortune (a.k.a. Buccaneer) finishes his Epic, could you put it into a complete piece in its own group, so that we might be able to enjoy it from start to finish without interuption?
Dreams come and go in the flow of night and day,like food and water they feed our hunger.
At that precise moment when you embark upon the land of dreams...what do you find?
I often notice a small pinpoint of light, at first small and somewhat insignificant..i travel towards it as the faint glow becomes more intense , swirling alive with colours, light and sound which surrounds me as though being surrounded by the walls of a tunnel , and presto i am in the dreamstate..what follows is what most of my posts here are made of.
Several nights ago I was pulled into dream by the sound of a human voice, though not always human in nature, often i find myself in complete conversations in my dreams...
The other night I heard a distinct knocking sound as i was travelling into the dreamstate, knock knock knock was the sound and a tap tap tap, and I went to answer..and presto I was in dream....(wanders off into dreams)
In reference to the dreams of Mona, GW, and my own las month, It seems that we now know what was afoot, as I put it.
I had not bothered to post any of my dreams between August 13th and yesterday, because they were all very dark involving many many lives lost.
Last night I dreamt of mythical animals sitting in a court room, and a Unicorn wearing a breastplate shaped like a shield was presiding as judge. There was a large comotion and debate over whether or not the "time of the Monkey was at hand."
I have been in meetings all day and I have been pulled back into that dream during the meetings numerous times. (Yes, I am one of those who can not stay awake thru a boring meeting.)
Anyway, Mona, it sounds like you are getting to be like me where dreams reach out and grab you. Just don't let it happen while driving.
Dreams that seemed so dark and unclear now seem so perfectly obvious. We need to pay closer heed to our dreams, and not be afraid of posting them, so that we can begin to analyse them and see if they point toward things to be avoided or things to be embraced.
Even a cynic would have to admit that with the number of disaster dreams that had been posted in the weeks prior to the tragedy, (Not just here but on other boards and e-lists as well) would point to the fact that we dream of future events sometimes, that none of us could possibly guess at being possible.
If you have a dream, and are embarrassed by some of the details, post it under the guest account. It is better to get the dreams out in the open than to keep them inside you, where their lessons will be soon forgotten.
last night I dreamt of meeting new friends and new affinity with everything and everyone around me. It was in a place far from my home. Everything from my current life seemed to be in the past and the joys and sorrows of the day were all distant memories.
I was speaking with a lady and telling her, "I used to be sad, but I no longer am. Things are better now since the change."
I've no idea what change I referred to, but it seemed to have been a fairly dramatic one. The change itself seemed to have been a very painful process, but that too was a distant memory.
I was watching t.v., there was a man on the screen, he seemed so odd...
he had doused himself in gasoline a moment before and now was lighting a match and dropping it on the collar of his suit, .....
the camera looked down to his feet..where there were two people, a man and a woman..both of whom were tied and gagged, hopelessly struggling to get free ..
they all went up in flames....
i couldn't stand to watch but knew i must.
Another night, or was it the same?, I was a soldier fighting in a vast army. i have been a soldier in many of my dreams lately...always caught in a battle, always somewhere on the front. I am never quite sure of my enemies, or my commanders...but I know my mission clear enough.
I also dreamed that it was the 'last night of the world',(as the song by Bruce goes)
...not the end of the earth, but the end of society..'civilization' as we know it. Everything was losing its spark, literally. The sound of radios and the buzz of lights slowly fading out into the night...There was to be no more, and though people seemed saddened by the loss of such things we know...electricity, governmental structure etc. ... there was a great sense of not caring anymore, and in a strange way..it felt as though a great burden had been lifted from us.
Not all my dreams have been of such a dark nature. They have been speaking loudly, and I have found it a comfort to wander though their mazes in the night.
I agree with ya Daryl, it seems something was definely afoot with all the disater dreams prior to the 11th, many people seemed to be havin 'em.
Once again, I would like to encourage anyone and everyone who feels they have a dream or some insight to share, to post here, ...as I feel that we can always gain a better understanding from listening to our own, and other's dreams.
I had the following dream Saturday night. I wrote it down in my dream journal, and I am presenting it exactly as I wrote it there:
There is a group of people who are attempting to melt the ice cap on Antarctica. They stop when they have gotten a large amount melted, and they decide that that will bring the world back to its former level of water to land ratio.
Then they begin melting a large hole straight through the ice going down to the land below. There is a city below the ice, and all of the lost secrets of magic are in that city. They know that the city itself will not be covered in ice because the magic in the city would not allow it. I am observing them from above, and I go to the city below, but none of them are aware of my presence. They reach a dome and can go no farther. I pass through the dome, but a winged creature that looks something like a small dragon or pterodactyl stops me and asks me what my purpose for disturbing the Ancients in the City.
I tell him that the world above has lost almost all of its magic, and the group on the dome are trying to get the city free so that the Ancients can restore the magic in the world. He takes me to an Ancient whose form is cloaked from my view, and I repeat my explanation.
They tell me that their time is not yet at hand, but soon shall be. They remind me, that when they restore their great city to its former place, the very world will change its face, and the great change will take place as a result.
They tell me that the Ancient places of power will be restored, and anything built over them will be undone. Any people living over them will be either part of the restoration, or they will be undone as well. They close by saying, “ Wake the watches. Will the work wax, as the Mother wanes? Wake the watches!”
At this point the dream ends as I am dismissed from their presence.
Man...my dreams are pretty mundane, compared to the epics you guys have...*g* As an artist, I should be having much more interesting ones...or maybe I do, but I never remember them when I wake up...last one I can remember involved being at my brother's wedding rehearsal. He watches us march down the aisle and arrange ourselves at the altar rail, and of course we totally screw it up. So he yells "No No No!!! That's all wrong!" and proceeds to demonstrate the correct method; doing a pirouhette and a song and dance routine worthy of Fred Astaire, all the way down the aisle. We groomsmen look at him as if he's out of his mind. Then of course I wake up, without a punchline or conclusion...LOL
Like I said, more mundane than mystical...
Keep a journal of your dreams, as soon as you wake up, record what you remember. As you do, you'll find that you begin remembering more and more of the dreams. The same night I had this one I also had one about adopting a pair of kittens. I withhold the mundane ones for my dream journal alone usually.
Anyway, most of my poetry has been inspired by my dreams. Perhaps you might try designing a motif of a dancing man.
My lover, she comes to me
Her long auburn hair
Like rivers of softness
My fingers get lost within
Her lips are so full
And tender on mine
I sigh at her gentle touch
With wild abandon
She loves me so sweetly
And I never can love her too much
Her eyes are two emeralds
So green and so bright
With a depth thats as deep as the sea
When she looks in my eyes
With her beautiful gaze
I melt and the flames light within
Is falling behind
The mountains rise
Up to meet me
Soon holding her tight
Twinkling stars up above
Not alone or afraid
But in love
As always, fantastic, work Buc.
Last night I had the following dream:
I am setting up a shop in a strip-mall. It is not a physical-world building, but rather one in the Otherworld. Each shop is run by an individual, and offers different magical services. Each shopkeeper is physically located in different places, but we are all working together for the same goal, helping people restore the Magick in their lives and the World.
The others are welcoming me to the mall, and helping me get things in order. One man in particular is being very helpful. He is a thin Caucasian man with a thick beard. He is bringing a few Magical items over for me to use. We have a discussion about the people in the mall. He notes that nobody accepted there, ever charges money for their gifts.
He points out that it would not be proper, to ask for payment for use of things that no payment had ever been required. He says that some of the people do receive food lodging and monetary gifts for the work that they do, but that is only because those that they help want to give them a gift, never because they ask.
I spend the day arranging the things in my shop just the way they should be. Although the shop is a bit overstuffed, It is neat and clean. In the middle of the shop, leaning on a table full of dried herbs, there is a staff.
Mounted on the staff is a gold statue of an eagle. The wings of the eagle are stretched out behind and above it, and they almost resemble twin blades of a sickle. The staff is a dark wood adorned with carvings over its entire length. The sharp edges of the wings make it look like a weapon, but it is far too heavy to be used as such, except possibly for ceremonial purposes. It was in the shop when I moved in, and I am leaving it where it stood out of respect for it. when I touch it, the left side of my body tingles. I am pleased with the way the shop looks, and I open the shop up for business.
OK .. here is one for you guys to advise me on.
Each night for the last 3 weeks, I have dreamed that I am 'not sleeping'. That I am awake and trying to sleep. I realise this may sound strange, BUT I must actually be sleeping, as I am an 'eight hour a night girl' .. anything under 7 hours and I become 'dragons breath'!! (I am sure most have you have experienced me in that mode).
In the dream, I worry, I stress that I am not sleeping and will not cope with the coming day. I do the whole gamut of 'panic attack' senarious. On the other hand, I am also calm. I 'understand' that wriggling, opening my eyes etc. will not help matters.
Do you think I should increase my medication??? *L @ lace*
Actually I have had dreams similar to that one. Usually they come when I am under a great deal of stress, and I am working longer than normal hours, and feel exhausted soon after getting out of bed.
If any of this is true for you, I'd say a little R-N-R is called for more than med's.
BTW hate to let you down, but a strip-mall is a row of shops that are all part of the same building, but they connect with a sidewalk, facing the parking lot. They are usally in a long strip, hence the nick-name strip-mall. No Cabana Boys.
I had several dark dreams last night, I can only remember glimpses of most. In one, I was gathering Owl Feathers. They had come from a large white and brown owl. I was gathering the feathers it had sacrificed to perform some kind of Ceremony. There were others waiting for me, but only I could gather the feathers.
The next one I remember, I was traveling solo at a costume party. There was a man dressed like an Arab Sheik, who was maneuvering around the crowd, but keeping to himself. Finally the crowd filed into an auditorium and began taking their seats. The man came in and pulled a plastic pumpkin out of his robes. It was about the size of a lady’s makeup compact.
I knew that it was a device that would cause the deaths of all five-hundred people in attendance. The man saw me, and I demanded that he tell me what he was doing. He said, “I am going to rid the world of five hundred magic people. I will be in paradise and the five hundred magic people will be facing judgement.
I tried to stop him, but since I was only traveling (solo at that) and not really there, I could not without the help of someone who was actually there. He laughed and called me a spirit. He said, “You are just a Spirit, you can not stop me any more than I could stop you from trying.”
I tried to stop him, but he was right: with no body, there was little I could do. I tried to find someone I could travel with, but there was nobody there I could communicate with him.
I told him, “These are not magic people! The only Magic People here are you and me.” He replied, “They celebrate magic, that is enough for me!” He opened the pumpkin up, and pulled a switch inside. At this point, I was thrown out if the dream.
I woke up jumping out of the bed. As I contemplated this dream, I came to the horrifying conclusion, that I must have been traveling with him, and was thrown out when he died as a result of whatever happened when he pulled the switch.
No love have I known
Dreamt I was with two men that in the dream were my brothers. I was the oldest of the three. Myself and the middle brother, had swords, that were made of rod-iron very full of swirling medal, that could not be used for anything other than decoration. The youngest had a dagger made in the same fashion. Just below the hand guards, on the three ornamental weapons, were two stones, one milky white and the other black. They appeared to be opal and obsidian glass.
If you touched the swords together where the black stone touched the white on the opposite sword, the swords became swords of fire. If you touched them where the colors matched, they returned to their ornamental form.
If you touched them tip to tip, where the stones were matched on the sides, The swords became an unbreakable staff. If you then stabbed the dagger into the top of the staff, It became a large pewter dragon. The dragon had the two stones for its eyes. If you removed the dragon from the staff, the three weapons would separate and return to their ornamental forms.
Likewise, my brothers and I would join together into one person, and walk as one, when we carried the Dragon-Staff. As soon as we removed the dragon, we would each separate, holding our own weapon.
The dagger could switch between dagger and dragon at the will of my youngest brother, when in dragon form, it could move and function like a real dragon, even though it was made of metal. The dragon was able to breath fire.
We had been given these weapons for a journey we were going on. Though my alarm clock did not allow me to make the journey.
My ship sails into safe harbor
On a white horse, she rides to me
The one I love dearly
Comes perfumed and lovely
To the place where I wait by the sea
She comes to me there
By night, not by day
I wait with Great anticipation
I feel as giddy
As a child Christmas morning
The closer she gets to me
I long to look in her bonnie green eyes
And her deep into mine
Knowing she's coming to love me
And stay with me for a while
From the red sky at night
Til the dawn brings first light
We're lovers in love all night through
The day soon will come
When our meeting is done
And my ship, she must weigh anchor
We live in the moment
That's all that we have
We relish each one
And we savor
Knowing one day
I won't sail away
To return to the sea without her
But the time soon passes
And my bonnie fair lass is
Kissing me, saying goodbye
I walk to the trail
I'm ready to sail
I watch her ride off in the distance
My eyes look northward
She rides her white horse
Up to her cottage once more
From the deck of my ship
I stare up the path and see how
She disappears, not there
Gone for now
My heart swells, I feel it
Pain sears way deep
Down to the depths of my soul
Tears stinging my face
As we're setting our pace
Sailing on wings of the wind
Seven days at sea
The sky shines bright
It'll be Christmas Day
At midnight
I Look at the stars
That shine above
Deep green like my true love's eyes
The light up above
It guides my ship
The mysterious, beautiful moon
But the beauty it shines
Does not compare
To the light in her beautiful eyes
I breathe the salt air
And close my peepers
I see her face in the moon
See her like she is right here
In front of me
Riding the wake of Neptune
I sigh a sigh
That's deeper than
The deepest deep blue sea
With eyes shut tight
I go to her
In a dream we walk together
The dream fades with the light
Almost midnight
My watch over soon
The bossun plays
His haunting, mournful tune
I think of my love
So far away
We'll be together soon
He asked, "What good would be a gate, that you had to go and find? A good gate will stay by your side, like a dear friend, so it is there whenever you need it." He said that such a gate would hide from any except those you had asked it to reveal itself to. He was in the process of telling me where you could find wild gates, when my alarm dragooned me back to the Mundane.
The other morn, I was in a dream, when someone asked me "How was your trip?", at which point in my dream I could remember a previous dream I had experienced at least several months before,(images flashed before my mind's eye) wherein I took a small plane south, and was exploring, unearthing, ancient Mayan ruins in the jungle.
This happened another time recently,..
I was reminded of another journey where I was travelling down a broad and muddy river, some sort of delta, and the boat I was on, a white, though somewhat dirty, sternwheeler..the old kind.
I oftentimes have dreams in which I can remember older dreams ,(ones that slip away and don't come back after waking, but instead, the memory of them resurfaces several months, even years, later in dreamland (no, not area 51).
Neat sounding dreams Daryl, Gypsywench.
*scratches chin in thought, stops to shake the sand out of her shoe*~zzzZzZzZzZ~
~btw~
with the whole anthrax scare this past season, things in the mailroom really slowed down at Dreams R Us, but with the recent hirings of numerous psychic people to work in the mailroom,and the huge sack of coffee beans I got for the staff,..things should start to pick up really soon.*crosses finger, nods to the nearest star~
Dreamt last night of being by the ocean, collecting Conch Shells. The green waters of the ocean came in and covered me, but I was not afraid. I was able to breath underwater. Even in the dream I found that strange, but it seemed a natural sort of thing, so I accepted it, and kept collecting shells.
Another person had been with me, but she left when the water came in, for she could not breath under water. I gave her the shells I had already collected, she took them and left.
She calls to me
Across the distance
I hear and call back
We meet
She touches me, moves me
Like nothing I've ever felt before
Beautiful, her eyes dark green
Her hair, soft and fragrant, copper
The color of the sunset right before the
Purple star filled sky appears
Swept away on the wings of love
Through the star filled heavens
Until the dawn begins to break
Over the ocean, beautiful to see
But not to compare to the light
In my love's eyes
Or her touch on my skin
A tingling current
Up my spine, making my heart
Flip end over end
Filling me with a thousand joys
To last me
Until again
I hold her close
In my arms
As she sleeps
Her breath sweet on my cheek
Her face, an angel’s face
More beautiful than
Any other
Please take this seriously for I am very concerned about my feelings to leave my family.
I had a dream about Goofy and Max floating down the stream. I asked them why do you look so sad? Goofy said that his father left to go to another province with all the fish the family had. Now Goofy has to hunt for and protect his little brother Max and his mom. The father of Goofy had dreams also. His dreams were about leaving Goofy and his brother.
Please help with this dream. I am a father of 3 children and I am fighting the urge to leave them.
i had a dream, the first dream i have ever had where this happens.
after the usual adventure type stuff in the dream, i actualy had an ending to it. what happened was this. the City Mayor was giving all the hero's but me a medal for bravery. not knowing that they were all in the mob. the hero's brother suddenly stands up to shoot the hero. i pull him out of the way, but accidentilly push him to the dege of a steep hill.
I gasp andspin him around but in the process i slip and fall face first down the hill. I still have hold of his shirt(which rips by and by) and he lands on my back facing my feet. the crowd gasped and ran to the edge to look down at us horrified. I', on my stomach, with a mouth full of grass(i didn't know you could taste grass in you dreams) and i try to sit up , realising i can't I pannic and look ovr my shoulder and see the back of the hero, he turns to look at me with a very surprised look on his face. i kick my leggs and start laughing. the crowd looks puzzled and it just hits me as hellerious. The expressions priceless. I woke up laughing.
hello hello hello dreamers!
didn't know if i would post here again but... the open door seemed tempting. thanks Guest.
what a mix of dreams i have been having lately.
none that seem terribly worth mentioning though i'm afraid. how bout youzzz alll?
here are some of my sillies:
last night it was a dream (amongst many) of myself standing looking across a river into another land where a town was on fire, and myself helpless to get across the divide and to stop the flames and save the people, as i was being held back by android-like warriors who were rounding everyone up. there weren't many people left alive. (likely a dream influenced by the ongoing world conflicts)
the night before that was a dream about green slime that was showing up in places all over the globe, just a drop would appear and suddenly it was multiplying and rushing in one common direction (all the slime all over the planet seemed to be heading to the same location but it was hard to pin-point where). Not even walls could stop this stuff, it simply went through everything and afterwards left a trail like a snail. I touched the ground where it had been and was then suddenly freaked to wash my hands.. but it wouldn't wash away, (i guess i have been more than a little worried about SARS and this dream was a reflection on that).
Not all my dreams have been silly lately, some of been the kind that "come true the next day" though the dream is rarely the same as the event/s which follow, rather like a jigsaw that is put-together later when i fully see the picture.
Guest, you mentioned you had dreamt of visiting a cousin you had not seen for many years and it was nice to see her again....
You reminded me that over the past month I've had a series of dreams wherein I was visiting with relatives and friends (a few in particular) whom i have not seen in forever (years upon years i'm talkin and people dear to me). Will not continue any further though at this point,, some dreams better left to the heart.
*leaves a bunch of dreaaaaam-daffffffies for everyone*
I'm in a house and I have just received a postcard from a friend. I'm happy that the postcard has arrived until someone tells me that my friend is in the house. I rush into the room, really excited and there is my friend sitting on the floor chatting to someone else. I plonk myself on the floor, sitting cross-legged, and expectantly wait for them to see me, then my friend turns and our eyes meet.The joy is reflected in their face. I had never met this friend before and I had never seen their face but I instinctively knew who they were. I felt very peaceful and at home. It was a lovely dream.
I felt as if I had had a visit from a spirit friend *S*
Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message  By Silk on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 - 11:55 am:
Sorcha, here's my interpretation thoughts for what they're worth...
You have worked very hard to complete a part of your personal life journey or a cycle of some sort and you can now relax (postcards = holidays and relaxation). The 'friend' in your dream is in fact aspect/s of yourself you've now accepted and feel relaxed and comfortable with. You feel happy and at peace within yourself on some issue. The visit may have been guided, but I feel it is more about yourself than anyone else.
Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message  By Daryl on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 - 04:22 pm:
I understand Silk's point of view, but before I agree or disagree with it, I have to ask a few questions, "Have you dreamed about this friend before, in different Circumstances?" If so, then the spirit friend(s) explanation is more likely.
Was there any writing on the postcard? If so, what did it say? In a true unguided dream, you normally cannot read any words. The fact that there was a postcard in the dream, an item that almost always contains words, is important.
Have you been to the house before either in dreams or in the Mundane? Describe the house, flooring material, walls, curtains furniture, etc. Finally, were there any windows in the house, and if so, what was the sky like outside?
here is an odd one from me.
i am standing on the edge of a mountainous valley, looking down at a small quiet town. it is going to rain but the day is clear and the sky is that perfect color blue that you see on warm sumemr days. it is spring and the pine trees that inhabit the mountain walls about us are thick and green. suddenly comming towards me is a small tornado. it proceeds to come straight down the dirt road that is the main street of this village. i am angry and feel i must find him before this gets out into the real world. i have to stop him. i climb one of the valley walls and meet him in the trees. we have to meet secretly or else. he agrees to stop the experiment and we hug. I awake wishing he would come back, i feel very lonely.
oddly enought i have more with adventure escape and tornadoes.
oh oh here is one i had just two days ago and still havn't figured out.
my brother and sister are heading up to an old silver mine in search of gold in the out flow rivers. they pull over and i get out. i am excited and quite upset because we are trespassing. we get to the river, pushing through dense undergrowth. there it is, a gold egyptian obilisk with a four foot high stand or alter in front of it. there is nothing on the ulter but there are faint but faided hyroglyphs on all four sides of the eight foot tall structure. there is a noise and my brother and sister run because they hear a monster in the woods. i step up to the obilisk and place my hands on the surface, and walk slowly about it. my sister and bro disapear and i hear a voice in my head. it demands to know why the instructions arn't being followed on the obilisk. i explain that no one knows how to read the inscriptions any more. it thinks for a moment and tells me to hold my hand over a faded symbol and place my foot on what looks like a golden mold for a foot. i do so aned suddenly i find myself pulled into the obilisk. facing outward. and now no one can see the obilisk. an old prospector comes out of the woods shooting at my brother and sister, he was what had made the noise. i see some sort of power pulsing around me. then i wake up.
okay another, this one from last night.
i am out camping with an old man who is my grand father. to make a clearing by this sstream we place bracelets around the trees and move them from the ground. we will put them back later. suddenly there is a noise and a bunch of human refugees come out of the woods. they have been traveling for days. they are babling about a thing called a windigo, and how it is comming after them. We calm them and start putting trees back. but before we are done there is this great disturbance in the trees. and out storms this massive creature, all fur and fanges. it grabs one ragged woman and bites her in the neck, it lets go for a moment and i thrust my arm between it and her. it bites me. and then it stops and i know that someone is poisoning its water and it blames these people, though they are innocent. i also know that it's not a monster but a man in a machine. I awake.
I dare you to find the meanings in these dreams.
Laurelrose! What amazing dreams! If I didn't have so much work on right now, I would've loved to have attempted a painting based of one of these! Wow! Powerful.
Okay, without getting down to nitty gritty specifics, because only you can do that, here's my overall opinion based on the feelings I get from what you write.
The adventurous life you long for and desire awaits you. You are a vivacious funloving person who needs to be on the go all the time. You know you have the capacity to achieve your goals but you have a few obstacles and a some self doubt to overcome. These things seem overwhelming to you at times leaving you feeling uncertain of your direction and causing you want to hide away in peace from the world, but you know deep down inside that you can conquor them because you are able to identify the hitches, and only need precise focus to remove them. You simply need to work out a plan of attack then purposefully follow it while being mindful of your health.
????? Howzat? *LOL* Oh well...I'm sure y'know only too well that it's more important how you interpret the dream than anyone else. What meanings do all those items have for you and how did they make you feel. Seems you've had a succession of dreams within a short space of time, so I would think this may indicate a push by your 'innerself' to make haste in moving you forward.
*Wanders off singing "Dreams" in best Stevie Nicks voice....*
Now here you go again
You say you want your freedom
Well who am I to keep you down
It's only right that you should
Play the way you feel it
But listen carefully to the sound
Of your loneliness
Like a heartbeat...drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering what you had
And what you lost...
And what you had...
And what you lost
Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say...Women...they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean...you'll know
Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions
I keep my visions to myself
It's only me
Who wants to wrap around your dreams and...
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
Dreams of loneliness...
Like a heartbeat...drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering what you had...
And what you lost
And what you had...
And what you lost
Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say...Women...they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean...you'll know
It was nice outside, I was in a living room then in a entrance area reading the postcard then went down a hallway into a room (like a bedroom but no furniture, we were sitting on the floor)
I was solely focussed on the friend and for some reason fascinated with his hair (LOL)
Sorcha
If your Friend becomes a regular appearance in your dreams, he might be a Spirit Guide. It is difficult to say, but the signs are currently pointing towards Silk's interpretation. Record your dreams in a dream journal, and they will show some amazing insight when you look back at them later on. The climate outside indicates the condition of your emotional state, i.e. calm and nice equates to feeling pretty good.
Sleep Well, and pleasant dreams
LR,
Very interesting symbols in your Dreams. Tornadoes are usually associated with the Fey, when they are fighting or angry. All of your dreams have a common thread in them in which, someone is trying to protect something and who is to blame is not who seems to be. There is also the recurring part about things not being done the way they used to be accomplished. I cannot help but wonder if there is something going on in your life right now where you or someone you are close to is trying to protect something, something that has a lot to do with tradition. This is something that is too big to be contained in a building, hence everything being outside. You might feel that you can see the truth in the matter, but you are helpless to do anything about it, because you are trapped in your circumstances. Deep in your Heart you know what you must do, and you must summon the necessary courage to do it. Just use an abundance of caution, because like the windigo, things are probably not exactly what they seem, and it will be hard to convince others of the truth.
okay it wasn't untill i saw the spider till the realization hit me. all those nights i thought i hadn't been dreaming, i had been. but not in the way i usualy dream.
i have been seeing flashes of images. a moment seen then lost. all of it had been of spiders, small and large. of a spider that something. but the emotion is too complicated to pin down. A thought to engrosingly huge for me to actualy connect in a concious way. even now i can't put it to words.
But yesterday it came to me, the spider, not the meaning. a quarter sized spider, about one Inch from leg tip to leg tip. It was white and had a huge abdomin. Of course i am terrified of the REAL spider but the flashes of memory confused me enough to imobilize me. I couldn't move. and images kept comming at me. all with emotion and thought attached. Desire, repulsion, need, fear and love mixed in with something totaly alien to my own thought processes. even i can't name it now.
but the point is that it came at me like a wave. pushing me back against the back wall like a giant hand. A pressure that is not like anythign i have yet to experiance. I just wish i could remember more than the flashes of dream. a spider on the leg, arm hand a desk, floor and clothing. thats the sort of flash i remember. but... i don't know, it's a bit disturbing to one such as I am. used to receiving her dreams in one foul swoop, so to speak. Whole and richly wonderful, even the frightening ones.
okay i had another,
I was in a chair, but in my mind i was traveling over the land scape which is black with white outlines. I come to a building, I look at it's structure and i fold up to wander through the black and white three dimentional of the archatecture. Part of it turns red, i hear a voice telling me that there was trouble. i brush it with my mind and the color fades to white. i turn to the next building, very tall and very big. The archatectual diagram has a red spot in the middle.
I close in once again, but this time i enter into a broom loset in the middle of the building, a man is standing there with a bomb strapped to his back. but as i am about to take care of the threat another mind enters the picture, this mind freezes everything and we talk, i don't remember the conversation. but he backs off and i don't have time to stop the bomb. it explodes. I hold the building up while people begin to escape. The second mind Joins in my efforts, and well over half the people escape but some are still in the red and orrange zones and we have to let the building go. i watch in horror as the building collapses on all those people. i can save one or two more but am too exausted to be able to help them all. I have pulled back and am crying for those i couldn't save. then, i fold back into my plane shape and on automatic make my way home. the other mind joins me and makes sure i make it safely there.
hmmmm a spike of read across a field of black........ to much anger.... needs an outlet...
Then I gave him the dream to read:
hmm several things there..... sounds like she blames the second mind a little for her not getting to stop the bomb in time. but she aslo sees she has more to learn... and did she ask about if time was stoped for all but them two why could the bomb not be stoped? Someone is very confused... sees many things hmmmm
but depends on the answers htey find
And yes, there are many more experiencing dreams of this magnitude. Maybe our paths will cross once more on a much higher pathway.
I can only pray that this is not the forewarning of the last time the Dream complex received a large number of disaster dreams. Back in August and September of 2001.
I had many dreams that I did not post in those days, because they seemed too strange or morbid. I think it is important that we share the dreams we are having, especially when they are disturbing. I am going to re-post a message I first posted on 18 September 2001:
Dreams that seemed so dark and unclear now seem so perfectly obvious. We need to pay closer heed to our dreams, and not be afraid of posting them, so that we can begin to analyse them and see if they point toward things to be avoided or things to be embraced.
Even a cynic would have to admit that with the number of disaster dreams that had been posted in the weeks prior to the tragedy, (Not just here but on other boards and e-lists as well) would point to the fact that we dream of future events sometimes, that none of us could possibly guess at being possible.
If you have a dream, and are embarrassed by some of the details, post it under the guest account. It is better to get the dreams out in the open than to keep them inside you, where their lessons will be soon forgotten.
*** End of Re-Posting ***
We might all remember, in the video of Osama Bin Laden, that was found afterward, that he said that he was worried that too many people were dreaming of the events that took place on Sept 11 in advance of that date, and that it might foil their plans. Perhaps it would have if we had paid more attention to our dreams. Dream on little dreamers, and let us know what you dream.
when i dream, sometimes i dream of natural disasters, like last night. I dreamed i was on the road it was driving down the freeway. in my rear view mirror i saw the twists and turning of the air that is a tornado, infact i saw three. one of which i passed by as it was trapped by a partialy built bridge. I looked forward and saw that my home and my mothers home was being flooded by the damn that lay above it. It had broken, exploded, and the water was swirling and flooding the land. some homes it swirled about some, it inundated and swamped. i made it to my home, which survived only cause it was on a small rise in the ground. but there was something wrong and an argument was about to break out when i awoke. I beleive the argument had to do with a second or was it a first dream. where i was attempting to stop a sorcerer who was trying to kill my mother, i talked to the orical about this and she said there was nothing wrong. but i hid in the room and discovered that she had been replaced with a replicant by the sorcerer. using a black obsidian knife and three white feathers she would move the sorcerer in to the palace, but the words she used were only the ones that would move the sorcerer from one place to another. I learned the words to move from one dimention to another and stole the knife and the feathers and moved three times. till i was driving, again, or for the first time.... i hope that makes sence.
there was another dream.
but this dream came a week ago.
i was sitting in the audiance of the show Joh Edwards and the afterlife(i cant remeber the exact name) he turns to me and says, Julie you need to get your 72 hour kit ready, now. then another of the spirit channaling people turns to me and says the same thing. and i wake up.
i think that message is very clear don't you?
Yup. Sunday May 23 2004 sounds like a reasonable sort of date for the world to end. It's just as reasonable as all the other dates predicted and now long past.
*true story*
A goodly number of years ago, couple from my neck of the woods came back from Medjugorje (a Marian visionary site in Bosnia-Hercegovina) - convinced that the world would end a given date.
They sold all their assets and gave the money to charities. They must have felt cheated when the day passed. Serve them right. They deserved all the grief. They wanted a sure bet into heaven.
- While the world looks like continuing, hang on to the goodies.
- When they think it's going to end on Tuesday, sell all the goodies and give the money to the poor.
- The poor stop praying and start to make plans for material satisfaction.
- The world ends the following Tuesday. The poor all go to Hell because they were partying at the time.
- The couple deserve their Hell-0n-Earth because they only chose to be 'generous' with something that they sincerely believed to be absolutely useless to anyone.
So, as to the meaning of dreams about the world's end:-
If something is worth doing 'because the world is going to end', it's worth doing even if the world is going to continue indefinitely.
If it's 'worth doing' ONLY because the end is nigh, then it's not worth doing - ever.
That you were actually pinning the errant part down, is positive, as it means that you are getting a handle on the situation. I have a question for the Zephyr who mysteriously follows his visions and dream quests and appears very regularly to me: "Why do people not ask upon awaking to know the symbolism of their dreams?"
It is so simple, perhaps, that they overlook this part of receiving a dream or vision? The universe instantly sends white light to the mind and opens up the understanding with the higher senses.
And that brings further questions for the Zephyr: "Where have you been? What dreams are you now following? Why only communication in the realm of visions?"
I had my first vivid dream in years this morning (08:00 in the UK). I don't even recall dreams when I'm under anaesthetic (however it's spelt).
In the dream I had just been indoor climbing with some of my friends in Birmingham and we had driven to a local hill, a beauty spot on the way home to take in the view as it was a beautiful evening and dusk approached.
Barr Beacon as this hill is called is about 4 miles north of the City limits and you can see for about 30 miles around you.
I then noticed flashes of the Northern lights in the sky and was excitedly trying to get my mate Nick to see it as I had only ever seen pictures.
As the sun faded the aurora shimmered in rainbow colours but mostly red & green behind thin cloud.
As I whooped like an idiot we noticed a cloud emerging from the city to our south and barrelling out in all directions through the suburbs. As we looked around we noticed similar plumes from Walsall to the west & Lichfield to the northeast.
We knew they were dirtybombs, there was no atomic mushroom cloud, just radioactive dust coming towards us. It was then that I realised that there was nowhere to run to. Even if you plan an escape to the wilds, you would not know when this could happen. Ordinary people do not have access to protective clothing. In this country decent people don't even have access to a gun to protect themselves or a police force capable of doing so properly due to bureaucrats.
I surmise that I must have been mithering about the political situation in the U.K.
The leftwingers are too powerful to the extent that you cannot point out the potential dangers of our open door immigration policies without being branded a racist, while Imans in the Mosques are preaching racial hatred against the West on a daily basis to their impressionable BRITISH youth. If I did that I would be arrested for Racial Incitement and treason.
Recently there have been police raids in Moslem communities across the country and half a tonne of explosives were recovered, however now the "Bleeding Heart" brigade are saying that it is potentially racial to only target those communities.
Note that it is not the Moslem leaders saying this, it is the middle class white liberals!
The scary thing is that those arrested were first generaton British Pakistanis, just like the guys sent back from Guantanemo Bay and freed to appease the liberals even though the Yanks stated they were dangerous!
I wish I had an answer to the potential doom of us all but what can you do?
You cannot inter 4 to 5 million Moslems because of the potential danger from a handfull of evil terrorists who twist the words of the Quoran to suit themselves.
Stopping Immigration will not stop the potential of "the enemy within".
I believe only the Moslem community leaders themselves can stop this. Instilling a sense of "Britishness" instead of seperatism would be a start.
The British government need to deport those traitors inciting anti-west hatred (but happily taking state handouts). One of the main instigators here ia one Abu Hanza who is an illegal immigrant with many children who has been allowed to stay here on appeal for over 8 years!!
He now has several children who are conveniently for him British. Strange double standards!
I'm Irish and proud of it but I live in England and contribute to it's economy. I have a job, family and a life here, so it also has my loyalty but the way things are panning out here I fear for the future.
What are the opinions if my friends throughout the world???
"I believe only the Moslem community leaders themselves can stop this."
There's something that you could do yourself right now.
Stop saying things like: "just like the guys sent back from Guantanemo Bay and freed to appease the liberals even though the Yanks stated they were dangerous!"
'The Yanks' picked up all sorts of people, chained and blindfolded them, then carted them off in that condition to Guantanemo Bay. That US military base in Cuba was chosen because the US Constitution does not apply there. No law applies there.
Proof of guilt = Assertion by US military. WMD anyone? Connection between 9/11 and Irag anyone?
We've all seen the stock images. Men chained in cages - being wheeled around on stretchers - treated like animals in a factory farm.
Some of the British citizens held there have been returned. This must mean that even the most bone-headed, racist 'Yank' believes that they are not in the least dangerous. They still say that they are dangerous as they don't want to admit to caging innocent people.
'The Yanks' are doing exactly what 'the Brits' did in Northern Ireland. They themselves are the most effective recruiting agents for 'the enemy'.
Heavy-handed, boneheaded action is a guaranteed way of converting peaceful people into fanatical fighters.
In a fight beetween a fanatical suicide bomber and a soldier on a weekly paycheck, the fanatic will win.
The British citizens who were caged by 'the Yanks' were treated like animals.
While they were there, their government did very little to have them freed.
When they got home, they appear to have been treated like animals by 'the British'.
Despite absence of any information on the circumstances under which 'the Yanks' detained them, British media, politicos and soap boxers called for their impisonment and trial (with the presumption of guilt).
That was hardly calculated to 'instill a sense of Britishness' in them or in their community.
Treat people like animals - they can begin to act like animals.
Yes, people should be dissuaded from inciting hatred.
That applies both to the blatant high-level hatred of Abu Hamza al-Masri and to the far more insidious low-level hatred that is the prejudice exhibited by 'ordinary decent people'.
ACCASBEL,
In response to the points made in your posting:
I do not condone "The Americans" detaining Terrorist suspects in the conditions that reflect Middle Eastern jails. I also believe that showing the "Stock photos" was a misguided attempt at a deterrent which has no doubt backfired on them.
Pressure from the innocent American people demanded that Al qua'ida perpetrators were punished for 9/11 hence the heavy handed tactics and mass arrests by the military and undoubted internment of some innocent people and many guilty terrorists.
Similarly The British did much the same in response to the Guilford & Birmingham bombings in the seventies when innocent men did suffer injustice at the hands of the "Brits".
However I believe ALL these suspects should be tried by an international court as soon as possible based on evidence shown, rather than hearsay. We can all be led by the propaganda in the press, some is misinformation but some is true. In the UK the press stated that two of the "Tipton Three" were armed when arrested. If so should they have been released or should they have stood trial?
You obviously think that the Americans went about catching the culprits for 9/11 the wrong way.
(I agree that Iraq is a farce and totally irrelevant so we won't even go there!) but what else could they do? Doing nothing is never an option if you are attacked.
I heard nothing of the British Citizens being mistreated after being returned to the U.K - what did you hear?
I agree that in an ideal world we should all have tolerance whatever your views be they Moslem (nationality irrelevant), Yank, Brit (or Feinian)
However when you live in a Multicultural working class society as I do, you see from experience that this will never happen as you cannot please all of the people all of the time.
"...in an ideal world we should all have tolerance...you see from experience that this will never happen as you cannot please all of the people all of the time"
Absolutely!
There is no fairy/faery dust. There is no World Peace.
All we can do is look after the micro-world around us. As individuals we send out ripples. If enough people can send out the right kind of ripples, then we get the right kind of waves. That works in reverse too. Opposing ripples tend cancel each other when the numbers are equal(ish).
In a Multicultural working class society the ripples must be chaotic.
Choose a good ripple.
>I heard nothing of the British Citizens being mistreated after being returned to the U.K - what did you hear?
All I heard was the press baying for their blood. Mistreatment has forms other than phyical.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not a rabid anti-American or a wimpish liberal. I just can't abide humbug, muppetry, spin and bullshit, no matter from what quarter it comes.
Looking at a few sources that probably can't be accused of being terrorist mouthpieces:-
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3509750.stm
Quote
>>
"Mr Powell said it was "not in the American tradition to treat people in that manner" and the US had followed the Geneva Convention.
<<
- and yet they put them in Cuba, which is beyond the reach of the American Constitution (and tradition). In Cuba, humans can be treated as animals. On US soil, humans are entitled to due process.
Geneva convention?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,921192,00.html
(Read the whole article. It's a killer)
"... His prison camp in Guantanamo Bay, in Cuba, where 641 men (nine of whom are British citizens) are held, breaches no fewer than 15 articles of the third convention......The US government claims that these men are not subject to the Geneva conventions, as they are not "prisoners of war", but "unlawful combatants".
http://journalism.berkeley.edu/projects/terror/archives/002311.html
"..full extent of British government involvement in the American detention camp condemned by law lords and the Court of Appeal as a 'legal black hole'. ..... After more than 200 interrogation sessions each, with the CIA, FBI, Defence Intelligence Agency, MI5 and MI6, America has been forced to admit its claims that the three were terrorists who supported al-Qaeda had no foundation. "
Note the bits in the above article on how the British government used MI5 to make the Triptons feel good about being British :)
I can understand how a young British muslim man could end up somewhere around Pakistan/Afghanistan holding a gun. I don't see that would make him in any way a significant part of global terrorism any more than being stationed in Iraq makes your average marine a significant part of the Bush administration's corporate engine.
They're all young fellas caught up in something big. At their level, individuals in general are not particularly evil.
I'm all for the Americans chasing down the organisers of 9/11.
It seems that parts of their intelligence services could have saved them (and the people who died) the bother of all that.
F'rinstance:-
http://www.newsday.com/news/opinion/ny-vppin093747412apr09,0,4755340.column?coll=ny-viewpoints-headlines
Yessir! As soon as the flight numbers were known, the intelligence services could confirm that the passenger lists included names of known terrorists.
What a pity that at the time, Bush et al were concentrating on ways to get at Iraq.
The Tripton Three are the least of the world's problems.
How people talk about them could grow to be a big problem.
This is all probably related to Tir in some way.
*Tipping cobalt blue bottle up and dropping precious drops of consecrated oil to friend's crown chakra while immersing him in soothing rainbow colours dancing in the fashion of the tapestry woven with every thought, intent, and act throughout time and all eternity*
You know? *continuing conversation while doing much needed deep tissue massage on friend* Funny how real dreams can be! Why, I just awakened twice from visiting with this friend who is quite tall, slender build, blonde. It seems we had a lot to talk about.
I have visited his abode many, many times. The first time I awoke after we walked outside of this cottage by the sea, watching again, as we had many times, the waves crashing against a rocky shoal and I told him that the rock had withstood many storms and would continue as it had its place and purpose for being.
I then removed the rocky shoal to show him what happens when the protection is not in place. The water immediately began to erode the bank that would, in time, cause the destruction of the very cottage that sat upon the protection of the rocky shoal. The cottage was shelter to he and his family. I asked him if he wanted the rock put back in place to which he responded positively.
The second time I visited I took him through his cottage and explained the structural weaknesses within and how those were even more to be concerned about than the waves beating on the rocky shoal.
He understood. He knew why I was there. The imminent danger lies in a house divided against itself, not in the outward, perceived enemy. It will all make sense in Eternity but not in time as we know it.
So the Yanks are making mistakes? Everyone makes mistakes and they like to point the finger of blame at others. We may find them with hand in the cookie jar helping themself and they may vehemently deny any wrong doing. *Offering friend a cookie from the jar that has unwittingly caught many small hands withdrawing cookies without permission*
Two sets of those small hands are now grown and in positions of defense for an entire world. There is nothing like firsthand account of one who has been there at checkpoints to recount the horrors of seeing coffins with bodies of women and children who had been shot through their heads, from behind, by their own people, for having tried to run and escape. These men could endure the dust storms and having little to eat, not able to shower, but nothing could prepare them for this horror.
I do not like contention or strife of any kind, nor can one justify the caging of human beings in the detestable manner described. Unfortunately, there are those who abuse power and position.
What is power? Why is it sought for? Answer those questions and maybe one may find the answer to every wrong in this world as we know it? The real test is what we do with our experience in this life. Do we endure the continual assaults upon our self and those we love?
This happens in the workplace, in our own homes, all parts of our life. One has an obligation to protect the family that has continually eroded because the rocky shoal was pulled from its place. I never understood a woman wanting to leave the sanctuary of her home when men are the ones responsible for protecting and providing for a family. Today the erosion is there, with many broken homes and lives and a confusion that starts first at the family level, carrying to community, nation, and finally, world strife.
I love being a nurturer but I also know that there can be no safe harbour for ships caught in the storms of life, beating incessantly until there is nothing left but shards and pieces.
A noble woman's strength and influence today can be tenfold what it might be in more tranquil times...
Other institutions in society may falter and even fail, but the noble woman can help save the home which may be the last and only sanctuary some mortals know in the midst of storm and strife.
Ummm...*looking friend in his eyes* How did our Dreams bring us to this point? Are dreams the only way some can recognize the answers they seek?
You can put your clothes back on now! I have seen it all before. *giggling at symbolism of nakedness in dreams of revealing true feelings and intent*
Not to change the subject, but I had a strange one last night, and thought I would share it:
I am working in a basement level computer room. It had a raised floor, but the tiles were made of stone rather than linoleum and aluminum. As I was removing tiles, being aided by a friend of mine, I found a water-tank, on poles for carrying. Inside the tank was a mermaid, about three to four feet long. she had long hair, light red in color, with a teal colored tail, that was smooth skin, rather than scaly. I looked up at the man who owned the building, and he said that he was trying to sell her, because she resisted all attempts to be used for making him any money.
I asked him how much he wanted, and he said 500,000. A briefcase appeared beside the tank, and it contained 70,000 in it. I told the man I would give him that much. He did not question, how I happened to have that kind of money with me, and made the deal. I knew I had to get the mermaid free. A female friend told me to look in the tank, and pointed out that the mermaid had children with her, and there were eight mer-children swimming in the tank with her. The man and the woman he was with took the cash and began to throw it up in the air, in celebration. When they did, the money disappeared as it went up, and did not come back down. The pair did not realize this until the money was almost all gone.
The mermaid thanked me, when I released her and the children back into the ocean. She did not speak verbally to me, but rather telepathically. After that, I woke up.
Interesting! I would love to know how you interpret your own dream. I love symbolism and this dream is steeped deeply in symbolism, even to the colours, textures, and numbers you so vividly remember and include.
Most people only have vague recollections of their dreams. Details are important. I liked the way you offered everything that appeared for her freedom, not enticed to simply keep the money for yourself. The money disappearing? I would love to ask any lottery winner what happens to easy money and see if they have too much to worry about it disappearing.
You could write a great story with this basic dream. Reminds me of a dream I once had...
I have had a dream
i am in a small town, the tallest building is only a few storys tall. I am in an old monistary, and go to the top of the building and find a hidden chamber that is set up to worship a forgotten saintess, this is set up in the attic/ tower. i look out and see a storm coming. I see part of the storm decend and two bits of cloud spin down and begin twisting our way. It turns and goes up into the clouds, and then comes down two blocks away, combining into one large funnel.
it decends on two people who are sitting out on lawn chairs on the top of their building.
i fall down the stairs and yell at the church group meeting on the ground floor we all rush into the basement. but as i reach the basement room i look in horror at the huge windows that line each wall. I yell that we have to get away from the windows, i yell this twice. i grab blankets and pillows and follow everyone into the next room, which looks to be hidden behind where a brick fireplace once was. i throw the blankets and pillows down on a couch. i think they should start nailing the blankets at the window. the basement is wood and concrete. unfinished.
I look about and spot a skinny long haired cat trying to run upstairs. I grab it and try and stuff myself inbetween the bricks of the fireplace and the stairs. I look about into the next room. It also has windows, just not as large. there is a hole in the concrete floor. i look down there, and see that there is a small passage, the wind is picking up outside. i see there is enough room down there for the children too. i jump down there and begin pulling the children in with me. stuffing as many into the hole as i can. the wind is rattling the windows silently. i awake
I had a dream/nightmare that the regs of Tir never returned. Even Daryl left Tir and there was no one to give meaning to our dreams. Maybe Laurelrose could write a sci-fi short story explaining what black hole has sucked them in?
To my real dream. I was driving with my youngest son in the car with me. I was trying to drive at night in a blinding rain storm. It was a bad corner and very difficult to cross to the far lane to turn left. As I decided to shoot for the break I remember headlights coming at my right side of car and then the cars were gone and I was driving on a train track and was continually told by someone to go back, repeated over and over.
The only problem was I could not seem to turn around or back up. I knew that if I continued on I would never be going anywhere again as I would collide with the train that was on the tracks coming for me, yet out of my immediate view. I awoke and felt like the car was my body and something had hit me hard enough to send me out of body, as if I had died.
The impression that stayed with me was how limited my vision was in my car and that I still needed it to take me where I was to go. I did my best, yet, I misjudged and apparently suffered an accident serious enough to send me from current life and choices. I know every time I refuse to listen to counsel of those in spirit around me that I begin to die and am taken and shown again why I need to continue on in the physical realm.
I am currently struggling with wanting to give up on everything, especially the one person I came back for last November. I have had so many experiences with this person spirit to spirit and when we have actually talked on the phone, he knows and understands what has happened.
I feel overwhelmed by the assignments given to me recently as my father handed me a book of assignments to complete and it was full of names and pertained to this man and I. I had been a full week of back and forth to the other side before I made my decision to come back and complete more work here.
So I go back to what? Why do dreams end before you are shown the right destination or answer you seek? If dreams are the subconscious only, telling us what we need to change about our lives, then mine is screaming at me but I don't seem to want to listen too badly. Hey, if I am shown the sequel where I see how it is supposed to all end, then maybe I might pop some popcorn and enjoy the ending?
Where have all the Tir regs gone, long time passing? That sounds like an old song that I can't remember the words too. I am also remembering about how this dream related to Tir and seeing me here writing about it.
Strange, huh?
LR, The Church you are in is you, and the forgotten Saint is likely a part of you that has remained innocent and virtueous, and that even though you may not think about it much anymore, it is still a driving force in your mind, which is why it is in the top of the church. It may no longer be in your heart, though. You must question whether you are trying to tell yourself that you should bring it back to your heart, or if you should close off the room forever, except to visit.
It seems that perhaps you are going through some kind of problem or situation that threatens parts of you that are either innocent or protected. You feel that some parts of you have already been swallowed up by the situation, which is not just a single issue, but multiple issues that are working together against you.
The answer your dream is giving you, is that you must center yourself all the way down to the core of your being. You must realize that just as the hole was not large enough to put all the children let alone all the people in, that you must be willing to make some hard decisions, and choices. There will obviously be change, and there is the possiblity that the as a tornado will destroy the top of a building first, that the shrine to the forgotten Saint or virtue, may well be a casualty of the change. If so, you should decide whether the Saint should be brought back into the heart of the church, or relagated to the realm of memories. Search your heart, you will know what the Saint represents.
Perhaps you were visiting the shrine one last time, before moving on. The parts of you that are still growing, need your attention, so that they will continue to grow healthy. Your dream clearly indicates that they must be your priority. That does not mean to ignore other aspects of your life, but some things are developed well enough that they like the adults, can take care of themselves.
You awake before you know the results, but the results are not to be found in the realm of dreams, but rather in the Mundane.
Malauna,
Dreams end before we are shown the results because the results depend on our choices, here in the Mundane. The purpose of dreams (aside from truly prophetic ones) is to show us where we need to improve. The results of the improvement are made known to us, but not completely.
We know in your dream, that if you turn around, that you would be safe, and if you continue on the path that you were on, you would meet a tragically avoidable accident/incident. However, in the words of our mutual friend Bob, "How can you hope to get the answer right when the question is wrong?"
Search for the question being answered. You may well find that the answer can take on an entirely different meaning, once you know the question.
i dreamed of ravens and crows last night.
I walked to the sliding doors that lead from my kitchen onto a small back deck. everything was bathed in light, yes i could see that the birds were sitting in the shaddows. the neighbours cat catches one and begins running to me, it tries to jump the fence and meow at me at the same time. the bird falls and flys away to me it flys in through the window but i manage to get it outside. the yard is full of shadowed birds, all calling to me and hopping around. i smile and think them a funny sight. i notice the cat too is in shadow. and there are more crows and ravens all about. every branch is filled with them, and their antics.
i wake up.
If you look up crows and ravens in your average dream dictionary, you would be frightened by the potential portents of this dream, however the Irish influence in your psyche takes this dream down a different path. Ravens and Crows are both birds involved in the cycle of death and rebirth.
This could signify that a change (a major one given the number of avatars) is about to take place in your life. As it takes place at your home, the change may involve moving.
Since the cat is a natural enemy of the birds, that would represent doubts you have about the change. As it is someone else's cat, it may be someone close to you that might be trying to control the change, thereby you. The cat was bringing the bird to you, which indicates that it too wants to bring change, but you are or will reject the change desired by this person.
That the birds were all in the shadows and trees (BTW were the trees barren, in full foliage, or somewhere in between?) indicates a lack of certainty about what choices you will or should make pertaining to the changes.
The imagery of the birds hopping about, brings to mind Morrigan and her sisters, which would very likely indicate the change may be rough, but as the birds were with you, rather than against you, you should prevail, and come out better for it. Even the cat, was actually with you. It tries to influence you, but it is still on your side.
Your mirth, indicates that even though it might be rough, you will still enjoy the process, as well as the results.
I had a dream last evening, about a man riding a motorcycle. He looked like your average fiftish old biker with the biker's leathers, a large angel dressed in blue and white with red hair adorned the back of his vest. there were no words on the vest. He sometimes rode with a group, but more often on his own. The odd thing was he had no arms. his bike responded to his thoughts, and turned in whatever direction he wanted it to go. The dream kind of drifted into an end, watching the man ride down some old city streets alone, having just broken off from a large group. It was very peaceful watching him ride.
Ok I have some weird dreams if anyone what's to hear them. All of them rather normal but at the same time still not right.
One of them is that I'm walking down a hallway. At the end of it I see a figure who I know is my father. The person looks at me and says "go away" and walks off.
I had an odd recurring dream which I dreamed as a child, but
am no longer haunted by. The dream is rather jumbled and
doesn't seem to have any logical succession.
In the dream I am a small flower, like a Tulip or a Daffodil, in a
flowerbed with other similar, but larger flowers. A big flower
towers over me and shouts into my face, that I am bad and I will
never be good enough. The angry flowers voice I note is that of
my father.
Then the dream changes and I am suddenly a little girl and I am
trying desperately not to fall down a cliff, but I only continue to
fall. There is that angry voice of my father's again. It seems to
be telling me how stupid I am and it's my fault that I am falling
down the cliff. Then I would awaken.
The voice never says actual words, it's just a yelling or roaring
noise. The words are more like impressions in the mind than
actual verbal communication.
Well I outgrew the recurring dream, but I have always wondered
what it could mean.
Malauna dreamt we all left the Tír, and so we all did. LaurelRose dreamt a dream that indicated a big change coming in her life, and then she moved to a different continent. Dreams really do come true sometimes.
It has been a long time since we all dreamed together, so I have dusted off the furnishings, polished the handle of the front doors, and I am re-opening the Dream Complex for business. Acc, its good to have you back. We need some red calm, stoli and brownies over here, also a headcount, who's still with us?
I just noticed that Dreams II is still active. Maybe it can be deactivated as other continued branches have been. This one might need to be wrapped to a new one as well, now that I think about it. Thanks for bringing the boards back. We all appreciate it.
eternal spiral---
Ascending---
The end but a beginning.
Period.
But add to that beginning end
endless periods............
Eternal progression...
My love she rests...
My love gone higher...
Never to return...
But to mingle...
with metaphysical mystery...
