If you know what province she lived and passed in, or even if you dont you can go to each provinces Department of Vital Statistics and do a search for death certificates...I found many relatives of the old days that way...once you find it you can contact them for a copy of the cert. or just print a copy out. That can lead to other avenues of research such as census records etc. Good luck - let me know how it goes and if I can help further.

A great source of Info for the new world is the Mormon Church database in Utah. They have ship lists, birth and death records, census info etc - mindboggling. Search yourself or pay a fee for them to do it.

Two more great sources of info for people whose ancestors came to Canada are as follows:

www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/the-public/005-1000-c or just search for www.collections canada.gc.ca/the public - it will take you from there.
The other is Library & Archives Canada for research tools, geneology centre, and other info - it too is a gov of Canada site

Hope this info proves helpful to some on their searches.
